Let’s the YSE AD5 Generalists adventure begin

As promised, here you have the details of our complete training in English (Spanish version here) to prepare for the generalist competition in a few months, studying few hours a week (yes, per week) :

AD5 GENERALISTS COMPLETE TRAINING (in English)

The full course is composed of 24 online sessions (via zoom) distributed over several months (sessions’ distribution may change according to the competition calendar set by EPSO). They will alternate theory, practice and exercises corrections, guidance and doubts resolution. 

Sessions, materials and tests provided will be in English. Videos and materials will be accessible for one year.

Course content:

  • CBT reasoning tests training: 4 sessions: 3 of them to cover the theory of verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning and 1 session to clarify doubts and review the proposed exercises. Training includes exercises for practice, materials and manuals all of them only in English.
  • Written Test training: 4 sessions. Training includes Written Test theory, 4 case studies, revision sessions of written test exercises and individualized correction of 4 Written Test case studies. Materials and exercises provided will be available only in English. Exercises for individual review can be delivered in EN/FR/ES/IT.
  • MCQ on EU Knowledge Test training: 8 sessions covering theory on EU history, treaties, institutions and political priorities, MCQ tests checkup, doubts and review. Training includes compilation of study materials and +1000 questions in test format for the MCQ AD5 Generalist knowledge of the European Union. We have tested questions in the Commission’s internal competitions (>90% pass rate on average). Materials and tests provided will be available only in English.
  • MCQ on Digital skills Test training: 3 sessions covering explanations and review of the MCQ Digital skills test. Training includes +150 questions in test format on digital skills. Materials and tests provided will be available only in English.
  • Complete mock exam.
  • Pre-exam orientation session.
  • Enrollment Session – Application Workshop (to be confirmed depending on the notice release)
  • End of competition session – job search from a reserve list (to be confirmed depending on the exam date)

Dates and times:

  • Sessions will be about one and a half hours long and will be held mainly on Thursdays from 18:30 to 20:00 (CET, Brussels, Madrid)
  • All sessions will be recorded so that participants can review them afterwards.

Coordination: 

  • In each course we usually create a whatsapp group to coordinate and transmit information faster (it is working group, not memes), making the most of teamwork. 

Fee: 

  • Fee for the complete training (sessions and materials) will be 1350€ in total (minus a 10% discount for those students entitled to discount). 
  • Discounts: Former YSE students, and YSE partnerships listed here (evidence of membership must be provided by email to yasemoseuropeos@gmail.com), will be entitled to a 10% discount on the price. Discounts are not cumulative.

  • Scientific research administrators (AD 7) exam – I A reasoning test in English (20 verbal questions, 10 numerical, 10 abstract) + 1 written test (EPSO style) + 1 FRSTQ (specific for each field of the competition). Written test and FRSTQ contain videos to explain the do’s and don’ts besides other key features. (access to the exam is granted for 6 months) – Finished –
  • Scientific research administrators (AD 7) exam – I + Pre-exam workshop A reasoning test in English (20 verbal questions, 10 numerical, 10 abstract) + 1 written test (EPSO style) + 1 FRSTQ (specific for each field of the competition). Written test and FRSTQ contain videos to explain the do’s and don’ts besides other key features. This formula also includes access to the recording our live workshop to analyse the written test for Scientific research administrators competition once the file is published. (access to the exam is granted for 6 months) – Finished –
