Dear all

How is the summer going? hot, isn’t it? don’t worry, we understand you. That’s why we bring some fresh news on EPSO and internal competitions to refresh you a bit and offer a gust of cold air on your faces. [Spanish version – here]

AD5 generalist is approaching, we know, we also confirm that more than 1000 seats in the reserve list has been announced and the EU-knowledge exam and the Free-text essay are guaranteed as part of the tests (so start preparing now for them is a good option). Of course, we’ll add any new piece of relevant information once the competition has been published (after so long waiting for it, we don’t want to raise false expectations as you can remember) so stay tunned. Meanwhile, there are other competitions in motion, for instance AST for communication profiles(media, design, webmaster) , or the internal competitions for EEAS, European Commission that may interest you, keep reading.

Last but not least, in September and October will have Building specialists (grade AD7) and Secretaries (grade AST/SC1) competitions, of course we’ll arrange our classic webinars to explain the competitions and what we can do for you to prepare, so stay tunned here or follow us on our Telegram and WhatsApp channels to get the latest info when they are published.

Latest trainings

Many of you ask us about our trainings (and that’s why we delay a bit in our answers, sorry! 😇), you can find all available trainings here, however, let’s do a short recapitulation of the trainings available at this moment

  • Reasoning tests -self study training – ideal for all competitions. Do you need some help with the verbal reasoning? or numerical? abstract reasoning is not your cup of tea? no problem this training will help you. Theory is available with dozens of exercises for practice , all EPSO style and with a certain level of difficulty to guarantee they day of the exam there are no surprises
  • EUFTE – Written test for EPSO competitions (self study training) – Introduction and theory video providing insight and strategies to adress the essay test. With 5 YSE-original essay exercises for practice with a dedicated analysis and examples on how to tackle them. (Explanation are in English, reference texts for the exercises available in the 24 official languages) and a dedicated workshop to analyse the text proposed by EPSO for 2025 AD5 Generalist competition exam (live online via ZOOM)
  • MCQ test on EU knowledge – Self-study online training in English to prepare for the MCQ test on EU knowledge in the EPSO AD5 Generalist competition 2025. The course consists of more + 1200 questions for the MCQ test on knowledge on the EU and its institutions (Each MCQ question contains feedback). Explanatory videos on each EU political priority,  YSE Study Guides on knowledge on the EU and its institutions, YSE-compilation of study materials. Continuous update  with the latest developments
  • AST157/25 work group – 4 live work sessions (1h/session, online via ZOOM) (all sessions will be recorded) and 1 Pre-exam session. Exercises for practice in English (4 Reasoning Tests (verbal, numerical and abstract) +3 EUFTE exercises for practice + 2 Field-related MCQ tests per profile +2 complete mock exams). Limited study group.

European Commission and EEAS internal competitions

EU Knowledge self study training Self-study online training in English to prepare for the MCQ test on EU knowledge in the EEAS and Commission internal competitions. The course consists of more + 1200 questions for the MCQ test on knowledge on the EU and its institutions (Each MCQ question contains feedback). Explanatory videos on each EU political priority,  YSE Study Guides on knowledge on the EU and its institutions, YSE-compilation of study materials. Continuous update  with the latest developments

Oral tests – yes, this training covers all the parts of the oral tests : presentation, motivation and competences. It includes theory in a recording to watch before the session as it will be focus on practice , a pure mock interview with feedback so you know what to expect and how to prepare.

Did you notice we publish less post here? yes, you are right. There is a big reason, we are moving!!! little by little we’ll transfer all our info to our new web : www.yasemoseuropeos.eu . Among the new features of the web are the possibility to consult job vacancies , our trainings and our (new) blog with our classic webinars , for instance , this one for the EEAS internal competition.

You can find there already trainings and from now on, you will find the next posts. We’ll keep posting here until end of 2025 or generalist competition AD5 have its competition. Whatever comes the latests 🙂

Noticias veraniegas YSE sobre las oposiciones europeas

Estimadas croquetilla,

¿Cómo va el verano? hace calor ¿verdad? no te preocupes, estamos contingo y por eso queremos traerte noticias frescas sobre las oposiciones europeas , ya sean las que organiza EPSO o las oposiciones internas del Servicio de acción Exterior (SEAE) y de la Comisión Europea. Una bocanada de aire fresco para alegrar el día. [English version – here]

Sabemos que AD5 generalista se acerca y podemos confirmar que se han anunciado más de 1000 plazas para la lista de reserva. Además el examen de conocimientos de la UE y el de ensayo de texto libre sobre la UE están garantizados como parte de las pruebas (por lo que empezar a prepararse ahora para ellos es una buena opción). Por supuesto, añadiremos cualquier nueva información pertinente una vez que se haya publicado la oposición (tras tan tiempo esperando, no queremos generar falsas expectativas, como puede recordar), por lo que permanecemos al día. Mientras tanto, tenemos otras oposiciones en movimiento, por ejemplo AST para perfiles de comunicación (redes sociales, diseño gráfico, webmaster), o las oposiciones internos para el SEAE, la Comisión Europea, que pueden interesarte, así que sigue leyendo.

Por último, pero no por ello menos importante, en septiembre y octubre contarán con nuevas oposiciones de especialistas en edificación (grado AD7) y secretarios (grado AST/SC1). Por supuesto, no podrán faltar nuestros clásicos webinars para explicar las oposiciones, cómo podéis prepararlas y lo que podemos hacer por vosotros para ayudaros. Formaciones más recientes

Muchos nos preguntáis sobre nuestras formaciones (y por eso a veces no nos da la vida a contestar a todos los emails, sorry! 😇) y las podéis encontrar todas aqui, no obstante, vamos con una breve recapitulación disponibles en este momento para que lo tengéis claro .

  • Tests de Razonamiento (verbal, numérico y abstracto) – formación auto-estudio – ideal para todas las oposiciones. ¿Necesita alguna ayuda para el razonamiento verbal? o numérico? ¿El razonamiento abstracto no es su vaso de té? No hay ningún problema que esta formación le ayude. La teoría está disponible con docenas de ejercicios para la práctica, todo el estilo de la EPSO y con cierto nivel de dificultad para garantizar que el día del examen no haya sorpresas desagradables.
  • EUFTE – Test escrito para oposiciones europeas (EPSO) (formación auto-estudio) – Introducción y vídeo teórico que ofrece información y estrategias para abordar la prueba de desarrollo. Con 5 ejercicios de ensayo originales de YSE para la práctica con un análisis específico y ejemplos sobre cómo abordarlos. (La explicación está en inglés, textos de referencia para los ejercicios disponibles en las 24 lenguas oficiales) y un sesión específica para analizar el texto propuesto por la EPSO para el examen de la oposición general AD5 de 2025 (en directo, en línea)
  • MCQ test de conocimientos de la UE – formación de autoestudio con videos explicativos en español y tests en inglés para preparar la prueba de opciones múltiples por ordenador sobre conocimientos de la UE en la oposición general AD 5 de la EPSO 2025. El curso consta de más de 1200 preguntas para la prueba de opciones múltiples por ordenador sobre conocimientos sobre la UE y sus instituciones (cada pregunta contiene comentarios). Vídeos explicativos sobre cada prioridad política de la UE, Vídeos explicativos sobre cada prioridad política de la UE, YSE Guías de estudio sobre el conocimiento de la UE. Actualización continua con los últimos acontecimientos.
  • AST157/25 work group – 4 sesiones de trabajo en directo (1h/sesión, en línea a través de ZOOM) (se grabarán todas las sesiones) y 1 sesión previa al examen. Ejercicios de práctica en inglés (4 pruebas de razonamiento (verbal, numérico y abstracto) + 3 ejercicios EUFTE para practicar + 2 pruebas de opciones múltiples relacionadas con el ámbito por perfil + 2 exámenes simulacro completos).   • YSE – aventura -Nuevo grupo estudio generalistas. Oral tests – sí, esta formación abarca todas las partes de las pruebas orales: presentación, motivación y competencias. Incluye la teoría en una grabación que debes ver antes de la sesión, ya que la misma se centrará en la práctica. En grupos reducidos, máx 5 personas, será tan sencillo como una entrevista igual que en el examen con feedback al acabar para saber qué esperar y cómo prepararse.

YSE – Self-study para el ensayo de la UE /Free-text Essay on EU matters (EUFTE)

Curso especial (se imparte en inglés) para aquellos que estáis preparando la oposición interna del Comité Europeo Económico y Social (CEES) o EESC (European Economic and Social Committee). Formación completa AD5 generalistas 

[info actualizada 6 Junio] El curso completo tiene una duración de 24 sesiones online (vía zoom) distribuidas a lo largo de varios meses (la distribución puede variar en función del calendario marcado por EPSO para la convocatoria). En ellas se alternará la base teórica, práctica y corrección de las diferentes pruebas, orientación y resolución de dudas.  

Las sesiones del curso se impartirán en castellano. Los videos y los materiales serán accesibles durante un año. 

Contenido del curso:

  • Formación CBT: 4 sesiones: 3 sesiones que cubrirán la teoría de los razonamientos verbal, numérico y abstracto y 1 sesión de aclaración de dudas y revisión de los ejercicios propuestos. La formación incluye ejercicios para practicar, materiales y manuales. Los ejercicios estarán disponibles sólo en castellano.
  • Formación Written Test: 4 sesiones.  La formación incluye teoría Written Test, 4 casos prácticos, sesiones de revisión de ejercicios written test y la corrección individualizada de 4 casos prácticos de Written Test.Las sesiones y correcciones de los casos se realizarán en castellano. El material aportado y los ejercicios estarán disponibles sólo en inglés.
  • Formación MCQ Test de conocimientos referentes a la UE: 8 sesiones que cubrirán teoría sobre historia, tratados, instituciones y prioridades políticas de la UE, revisión de test MCQ, dudas y repaso. La formación incluye compilación de materiales de estudio y +1000 preguntas en formato test para el MCQ AD5 Generalistas de conocimientos referentes a la Unión Europea.  Las preguntas las hemos probado en la oposición de interna de la Comisión (>90% de aprobados de media) Las sesiones se realizarán en castellano. El material aportado y los ejercicios estarán disponibles sólo en inglés.
  • Formación MCQ Test de competencias digitales (Digital skills): 3 sesiones explicativas y de revisión de test MCQ Digital skills. La formación incluye +150 preguntas en formato examen sobre competencias digitales. Las sesiones se realizarán en castellano. El material aportado y los ejercicios estarán disponibles sólo en inglés.
  • Simulacro de examen completo.
  • Sesión de orientación previa al examen.
  • Taller para matriculación de oposición (a confirmar fecha según examen)
  • Taller de búsqueda de empleo desde lista de reserva (a confirmar fecha según examen)

Fechas y horarios:

  • Las sesiones serán de aproximadamente una hora y media de duración y se celebrarán principalmente en viernes y algún miércoles en horario de 18:30 a 20:00 (CET, Madrid, Bruselas). Inicio del curso el viernes 9 de mayo.
  • Todas las sesiones se grabarán para que los participantes puedan repasarlas.

Coordinación: 

  • En cada curso solemos crear un grupo de whatsapp para coordinarnos y transmitir la información de manera más rápida (es grupo de trabajo, no de memes), sacando lo mejor del trabajo en equipo.

As promised, here you have the details of our complete training in English (Spanish version here) to prepare for the generalist competition in a few months, studying few hours a week (yes, per week) :

AD5 GENERALISTS COMPLETE TRAINING (in English)

The full course is composed of 24 online sessions (via zoom) distributed over several months (sessions’ distribution may change according to the competition calendar set by EPSO). They will alternate theory, practice and exercises corrections, guidance and doubts resolution. 

Sessions, materials and tests provided will be in English. Videos and materials will be accessible for one year.

Course content:

  • CBT reasoning tests training: 4 sessions: 3 of them to cover the theory of verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning and 1 session to clarify doubts and review the proposed exercises. Training includes exercises for practice, materials and manuals all of them only in English.
  • Written Test training: 4 sessions. Training includes Written Test theory, 4 case studies, revision sessions of written test exercises and individualized correction of 4 Written Test case studies. Materials and exercises provided will be available only in English. Exercises for individual review can be delivered in EN/FR/ES/IT.
  • MCQ on EU Knowledge Test training: 8 sessions covering theory on EU history, treaties, institutions and political priorities, MCQ tests checkup, doubts and review. Training includes compilation of study materials and +1000 questions in test format for the MCQ AD5 Generalist knowledge of the European Union. We have tested questions in the Commission’s internal competitions (>90% pass rate on average). Materials and tests provided will be available only in English.
  • MCQ on Digital skills Test training: 3 sessions covering explanations and review of the MCQ Digital skills test. Training includes +150 questions in test format on digital skills. Materials and tests provided will be available only in English.
  • Complete mock exam.
  • Pre-exam orientation session.
  • Enrollment Session – Application Workshop (to be confirmed depending on the notice release)
  • End of competition session – job search from a reserve list (to be confirmed depending on the exam date)

Dates and times:

  • Sessions will be about one and a half hours long and will be held mainly on Thursdays from 18:30 to 20:00 (CET, Brussels, Madrid)
  • All sessions will be recorded so that participants can review them afterwards.

Coordination: 

  • In each course we usually create a whatsapp group to coordinate and transmit information faster (it is working group, not memes), making the most of teamwork. 

Fee: 

  • Fee for the complete training (sessions and materials) will be 1350€ in total (minus a 10% discount for those students entitled to discount). 
  • Discounts: Former YSE students, and YSE partnerships listed here (evidence of membership must be provided by email to yasemoseuropeos@gmail.com), will be entitled to a 10% discount on the price. Discounts are not cumulative.

After our European Week, you’ve been asking, «Where can I watch the European Week webinars?

And what about the other materials and resources?» Keep reading because we’ll provide them for you here. But first, if you’re looking for information about our new CBT courses, AD5 generalist courses, and other opposition profiles, all the info is here.

The opposition webinar ended up being a bit long, but we did answer all the questions: «What’s happening? Where do I start? The exams? When should I start studying? How many hours?» and more (you can download the presentation below the video).

The EUropean Week

[Spanish version here] In our aim and desire to accompany and inform you about the competitions and other contractual relationships that allow access to work in the European institutions, we have scheduled info sessions in the coming weeks with Q&A at the end so you can ask your doubts. On May 6th and 7th sessions will be in English, on May 8th and 9th we will discuss the same contents in Spanish.

Webinars in English will be:

  • CAST processes:  Monday, May 6th from 18:30 to 19:30 CET (Madrid, Brussels): we will discuss the contract agents selection processes CAST (Contract Agents Selection Tool).
  • Tests in the upcoming and ongoing competitions:  Tuesday, May 7th from 18:30 to 19:30 CET (Madrid, Brussels): we will discuss the different tests included in the upcoming and ongoing competitions (AD7 Transport field, AD7 Nuclear field, AD5 Generalists,…)

These webinars are free and with limited spots. It’s compulsory to fill in this form to participate (you will get the connection details before the webinar)

Webinar will be recorded and uploaded into our youtube channel, by participating in them you authorize to be recorded. All data will be handled according to EU regulations in force and with the single purpose of these webinars. (informative clause and our data protection policy)

Morevover, we’ll publish here new free exercises and materials from 2nd May.

La Semana EUropea

[English version here ] En nuestro afán e intención de acompañaros e informaros de las competiciones de oposición y de otras relaciones contractuales que posibilitan el acceso a trabajar en instituciones europeas, hemos programado sesiones informativas en las próximas días donde podrás preguntar todas tus dudas al final de la sesión. Los días 6 y 7 de Mayo serán en inglés y los días 8 y 9 de mayo trataremos los mismos contenidos en español.

Los seminarios online en español serán:

  • Los procesos CAST:  Miércoles 8 de Mayo de 18:30 a 19:30 CET (Madrid, Bruselas): abordaremos los procesos de selección de agentes contractuales CAST (Contract Agents Selection Tool).
  • Las pruebas de las competiciones en curso y por venir:  Jueves 9 de Mayo de 18:30 a 19:30 CET (Madrid, Bruselas): trataremos las diferentes pruebas que se incluyen en las distintas competiciones, las que están por venir y las  que se están desarrollando actualmente (AD7 ámbito Transportes, AD7 ámbito Nuclear, AD5 Generalistas,…)

Las sesiones son gratuitas y con plazas limitadas. Es obligatoria la inscripción en este formulario (los participantes recibirán los datos de conexión antes de cada webinar).

Las sesiones serán grabadas y subidas a nuestro canal de youtube, participando en estos webinar autorizas a ser grabado. Los datos recogidos son de uso exclusivo para la gestión de estos webinar y gestionados conforme a la regulación europea vigente (cláusula informativa y nuestra política de protección de datos).

Además, iremos publicando por aquí nuevos ejercicios y materiales a partir del día 2.
